Atlanta History

Atlanta is the Capital of Georgia with a population of 463,878. Established in 1837 at the intersection of two railroad lines, Atlanta was originally named Terminus. These railroad lines stretched from four different directions between 1845 and 1854. Atlanta was a major distribution hub during the Civil War. Atlanta is now a major economic driver for the South and the world.

While in the area, stop by the World of Coke to try every beverage Coke-a-cola makes. You can catch a game or show at Philips Arena and our soon-to-be completed Mercedes Benz Stadium, which will host the 2019 Super Bowl.
